Crystord: Terms of Service

Introduction

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of all Crystord products and services operated by Aleutheris ("we", "us", "our"), a company registered in the Netherlands. By installing, accessing, or using any Crystord product you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not install or use our products.

These Terms cover both:

• The Crystord Google Workspace Add-on (the "Add-on"), available from the Google Workspace Marketplace, which synchronises data from Google Sheets™ into Google Slides™ presentations.
• The Crystord web application at app.crystord.com (the "App"), which provides account management and authentication for the Crystord platform.

Acceptance of Terms

By installing or using any Crystord product you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not install or use our products.

Definitions

• Add-on: The Crystord Google Workspace Add-on for connecting Google Sheets™ and Slides™.
• App: The Crystord web application at app.crystord.com.
• Company / Developer: Aleutheris.
• User: Any person installing or operating the Add-on or App.
• Service: The features and functions offered by both the Add-on and the App, as described herein.

Description of the Service

Google Workspace Add-on

The Add-on enables Google Workspace users to define placeholder variables in a Google Slides™ presentation and bind them to data in a connected Google Sheets™ spreadsheet. When synchronisation is run, the Add-on reads the specified sheet data and replaces placeholder content in the presentation. The Add-on supports text and numeric values and is limited to integration between Google Sheets™ and Slides™. Service depends on availability of Google Workspace APIs.

Crystord Web Application

The App provides an authenticated web interface for managing your Crystord account. It allows you to sign in to access platform features and account settings. The App requires a valid Crystord account and functions as a companion to the Add-on.

Account Registration and Use

To use the App you must create a Crystord account with a valid email address. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately of any unauthorised use at info@aleutheris.com.

You must be at least 16 years old to create a Crystord account. Use of the Add-on without an account is governed by your Google Workspace administrator's installation policy.

Acceptable Use

You agree to use Crystord products only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You must not:

• Use either product to process data in violation of applicable laws or third-party rights.
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or circumvent security or authentication mechanisms in the App or Add-on.
• Test or probe for vulnerabilities in the App without our written permission.
• Use automated tools to access the App at a rate or volume that impairs service availability.
• Misrepresent your identity or affiliation when registering an account.
• License, sell, resell, or otherwise exploit either product except as permitted by these Terms.

Google Workspace Permissions

The Add-on requests access to Google Sheets™ and Slides™ in your Google account. By granting these permissions, you authorise the Add-on to read sheet data from sources you connect and to write updated content to the presentations you are editing. You may revoke these permissions at any time via myaccount.google.com/permissions.

Aleutheris' use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use Requirements.

User Content and Data

• Add-on: Google Sheets™ and Slides™ content is processed transiently within your Google environment and is never stored on Aleutheris servers. All data resides within your Google account.
• App: Your email address and authentication credentials are stored securely to maintain your account. See the Privacy Policy for full detail on what is collected, how it is used, and your rights.
• You retain full ownership of your Google documents and account data.

Data Retention and User Rights

Add-on

• No external storage: No Google document content is stored on Aleutheris servers. Processing is session-based and transient.
• Access revocation: You may revoke Add-on permissions at any time via Google Account security settings, which immediately stops all data access.
• Uninstall: Uninstalling the Add-on removes all associated Google account permissions and ends all data access.

Web Application

• Account deletion: You may request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by contacting info@aleutheris.com. Requests are processed within 30 days.
• Data access: You may contact us to request a summary of what personal data is held on your account.
• Data portability: Since no Google document content is stored externally, you retain full control and ownership of your data within your Google Workspace. App account data may be requested in a portable format by contacting us.
• Right to information: You may contact us at any time to confirm that no personal data beyond what is described in the Privacy Policy is stored on our servers.

Service Termination and Data

• If either product is discontinued, users will be notified in advance where possible.
• Since no Google document content is stored externally, discontinuation of the Add-on does not affect data integrity or accessibility of your Google files.
• App account data will be handled in accordance with our data retention policy upon service termination.

Intellectual Property

The Add-on code, App interface, and associated materials are the property of Aleutheris and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the products solely for their intended purpose. You may not copy, distribute, modify, or create derivative works from any part of the Crystord products without our prior written consent.

Google Sheets™ and Google Slides™ are trademarks of Google LLC. Aleutheris is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Google LLC.

Pricing and Subscriptions

The Add-on is currently available free of charge. If paid features are introduced, updated terms and a separate notification will be provided before any payment is required. Details of any App subscription plans are described within the App at the time of purchase.

Service Availability

We aim to maintain reasonable availability of both products but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We reserve the right to carry out maintenance, release updates, or modify features with reasonable notice. Service availability may depend on third-party services including Google Workspace APIs.

Disclaimer of Warranties

Crystord products are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranty of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the services will be error-free, uninterrupted, or meet your specific requirements. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any warranty that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by law, Aleutheris shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages resulting from your use of or inability to use Crystord products, including but not limited to loss of data, revenue, or business opportunity. Our total liability to you shall not exceed the amount you paid, if any, for access to the relevant service in the 12 months preceding the claim.

Termination

You may terminate use of either product at any time by uninstalling the Add-on, ceasing to use the App, or requesting account deletion. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms or engage in conduct harmful to our services or other users, with or without prior notice at our discretion. Termination of the App does not affect your Google documents, which remain within your Google account.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms to reflect product changes or legal requirements. Material changes will be communicated via this page with an updated revision date. Continued use of Crystord products after changes are published constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Netherlands, without regard to conflict-of-law provisions. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of the Netherlands, unless a mandatory consumer-protection law in your country of residence requires otherwise.

Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain effective to the fullest extent permitted by law.

Final Note

By installing or using any Crystord product you confirm acknowledgement and acceptance of these Terms. For privacy specifics, please see the Privacy Policy.
